Hi, i'm new here. I've just finished my eDrum 16CH, with the 1.6.5 firmware. First i wold say thanks to Admir for such a beautiful project, I'm having a lot of fun playing my "converted" acoustic drumset with that. But i'm having a little trouble trying to configure properly the hi-hat.
I'm using a potentiometer pedal, so first i <set pedal type: potentiometer> in the interface settings, but no midi activity at all when moving the pedal. Then I tried with <foot controller> and it seems to work well, i could control the open-ness degree of the HiHat with the pedal. Now i would know how to obtain midi note_on message for the pedal chick and pedal splash events. I tried every <pedal type>  value in the settings, with no results. I've searched the forum but i've found nothing. There is a way to obtain those midi notes without the "edrum monitor" software?

Hi,

eDrum only send "chick" note when you depress pedal quickly. But normally, pedal notes are produced inside your drum sampler. What software are you using?

Thanks Admir, i just made some test, depressing pedal really fast i can see the midi note corresponding t the chick being transmitted. Probably are just  the <pedal LO> and pedal HI> levels that need some tweaking.

Pedal splash is a topic I've wanted to get into.
Correct me if i'm wrong.
A pedal/hi-hat splash is when a a pedal is pressed creating contact with the 2 hi-hat cymbals then released to let the hi-hat cymbals ring out.

If i'm correct the next step would be to find a way to emulate this effect on a software end.

That would be great if it could be emulated in software....... it would make my DIY Hi-Hat sound more realistic, and work with some songs that require the "splash" sound.....
